Wise Acres U-pick Farm

The farm is open by reservation only. U-pick strawberry reservations will open early April. We will update dates as we see berries emerge. We anticipate a mid-April start date.

As the only USDA-certified organic strawberry farm in the area, we use simply do not have enough berries to satisfy demand. To grow organically, we can only plant 1/3 of our fields at any time so we grow as many berries as we can but it is still 1/3 of what conventional farms of the same size can grow. In the past, we have had substantial revenue loss and field damage from over picking. Reservations are the best way to ensure that we care properly for our family, our farm, our crops, our neighbors, our customers, and the environment. We thank you for your time, patience, and support.

The GreenHouse at 5503 Poplin will open on April 4 for garden plant sale and outdoor fun. No reservations needed at the GreenHouse but does NOT have strawberries or farm access.

  • Spring strawberry season is mid-April through early June

  • Summer blueberry & sunflower season is June through early July

  • Fall pumpkin season is mid-September through early November

  • NC Christmas tree season is late November

  • U-cut flowers are available every season spring – fall
